Shirley loves to teach and that love, enthusiasm and fun is woven into every part of her courses. This is very engaging and contagious. The workshop topics are often attractive to me because I can see the immediate relevance in my life. After attending the course I have a concrete tool to use in my life and a new perspective that will help move me forward. Some of the teachings that she models for me are: live your purpose and with great diligence and intent walk that path. To live with integrity is to live with clear boundaries. Embody the light by embracing the light.

In a very short period of time Shirley can facilitate incredibly powerful soul connections for people. I have experienced it firsthand in my one-on-one work and also have witnessed it in courses with others. The healing that can result is life changing. I think there are a lot of other teachers out there where you feel good after the experience and you may experience positive changes but the results are slower and less effective because the work does not touch as deep to the root. “When I first began to see Shirley, I was feeling stuck. The practitioners that I had been seeing were helping but there was a missing link. When I spoke to her about my situation we talked about the need to take my healing process to the next level and look more closely at the Spiritual body. Here this sparked the "yes". I felt lost in that area of my life and needed/wanted someone who could work with me and be the "minister" who could guide me and speak the language of faith with me. I found that in Shirley.

The more I opened, the more I opened. Each time there was something new to discover or something that I had been contemplating and wondering about, Shirley was able to offer a process or structure or context in which to work with it in a more concrete and tangible way. Shirley gives practical, simple and easy to follow ways of working through what can at times seem very complex issues. I always feel lighter somehow when I have spent time with her on an individual basis or in a workshop. The most powerful image that Shirley has ever given me is the hula hoop and the need for setting clear boundaries. It is simple, concrete and easy to remember. Everything else flowed from there. The graphic illustration of the pillars and being centred and grounded in our own truth has been very powerful for me as well. It gives me a way to trust in my own knowing with visual images that I can connect intuitively to my own Soul's wisdom and trust in that knowing.

What I find so inspiring is Shirley’s willingness and courage to step out and "walk" the path and know the process intimately herself before sharing it or "teaching" it to others. I admire and am inspired by Shirley’s discipline and have come to know the importance of it more and more each day. With her inspiration, wisdom and support I have learned how to be totally honest with myself and love myself in ways that sometimes go beyond my conscious understanding. “I have been very fortunate and am extremely grateful on a daily basis for the numbers of insightful people who have come into my life at various stages to help me - as I now see it - to further my soul's development. I am particularly grateful to the horses and other animals that have been the earliest, strongest, most constant and supportive of my teachers. Without them, I most likely would not have had the courage to start this journey at all.

One of my more recent spiritual teachers and mentors helping me explore and develop my soul's journey is Shirley Martin. She has been unfailingly 'safe', non-judgemental and appropriately supportive. She has a very different outlook than I do and constantly challenges me to 'think' with a different 'vocabulary'. I always feel that she intuitively goes to the 'heart of the matter'. No time is lost talking about that which I've already realized. She asks THE questions - about issues to which I have no connection or understanding - and gets under my mind's radar to allow awakening to happen at a subconscious level.

I laugh often when with Shirley! She gives me the EXACT input that brings out my resistances! I don't want to be clear about what I'm feeling (I'd have to 100% present!) I don’t' want to define my emotions (I'd have be aware of them) I don't want to write it down!!!!! (I might then see myself as clearly as I can see others!) I don't want to be specific! I don't want to ... I don't want to... I don't want to.... All of these resistances come from fear and when Shirley leads me through these very detailed and specific exercises, the fear dissipates, the resistances disappear and huge changes occur!

I was very pleased when Shirley started to give her courses. Without experiencing them, no one would be able to understand how perfectly aligned they are with your needs. There were some in which I swear I entered into another space - that was the first time I realized the depth of the work that Shirley does. My conscious mind receded and the information that my subconscious needed to hear slipped in. Awareness would dawn, often days after the course.

As a CranioSacral therapist, I recognize this in a slightly different context. With CST, the mind of the client is often not aware of the changes in body, mind and spirit that are going on beneath the surface; but the dialogue between the inner wisdom of the client which lets the facilitator know what is appropriate to do, is profound and deep, allowing significant change to occur that perhaps the person has been resisting for their entire lives. The awareness of what has gone on may come later and changes will continue to unfold in the way most appropriate to the client. That is what I find with Shirley's work, whether it be a private session or a course. Her integrity and desire to be aligned to the highest vibrational source of wisdom, allows a perfect setting for change for each person who comes to her. It allows the soul to become more available to the consciousness and therefore to be the vehicle with which one makes decisions rather than our lower etheric, more physical selves.

I have always had good boundaries in many areas but through Shirley's courses and private coaching, I have developed an awareness that allows me to optimize boundaries and move ahead in areas that I didn't know even existed. This has mushroomed into all other areas of my life bringing more and more success and clarity of focus. It is much more quickly evident to me now what vibration belongs to my soul's destiny and what slightly different vibrations are not mine. Now I have more skills to identify why they are not quite right and how to let my attention realign with MY best path. Others perceive me more clearly as well, as my vibration becomes more pure. What seemed to be huge issues in business and personal relationships have simplified themselves. I need put no energy into struggling - I just need to keep my attention on my path, stay connected to the vibration of MY soul's destiny and that reflects out into the rest of the world.

I have experienced many manifestations of not being aligned with my soul's destiny. But I have a passion and deep desire to be EXACTLY on my soul's path and therefore to achieve my perfect destiny. I am aware in a much deeper way of my place and purpose. Now, I am fine-tuning my awareness of the slightest deviation.
